Description
Composed in 2021 by Jordan R. Tucker, Celebration Prelude is a mashup (of sorts) of two popular hymn-tunes: HYFRYDOL and CWM RHONDDA. The two melodies are interwoven throughout the piece, at times fighting for control of the ensemble’s focus. However, HYFRYDOL becomes the obvious victor as the work reaches a climax. This work features moments of grandeur, peace, tension, reflection, and triumph, all combining to create a final product of energy and spirit.
