Description

Commissioned by Colton Rockett, this is a fun and interesting work for brass quintet written in 2016 by Jordan R. Tucker. Featuring a complex jazz-based harmonic language and a unique rhythmic groove, this piece has each instrument playing in the solo role at some point in the work, while the other voices distribute accompaniment-like material around the soloist. Written with an intermediate-level difficulty, this 4-minute and 30-second piece is perfect for recitals and showcases for high schoolers, college students, and professionals.
