Shine for Horn Choir

$35.00

Work for advanced 12-part horn choir. Commissioned by Horns United.

Description

Written for the amazing faculty of Horns United, this original piece by Jordan R. Tucker is an exciting and triumphant prelude for advanced horn choir. It was originally written for organ, but transcribed for horn choir in 2020 as part of a large-scale project to raise funds for COVID relief. This work in particular was dedicated to healthcare workers, who struggled and sacrificed daily to bring the world back to normality. Each part was recorded separately and individually by the performers, and mixed by Sean Holmes and Marc Lumley. Horns:

  • Eric Ralske (Juilliard/Metropolitan Opera)
  • Richard Deane (New York Philharmonic)
  • Bob Lauver (Pittsburgh Symphony
  • Gail Williams (Northwestern/Chicago Symphony)
  • Tod Bowermaster (St. Louis Symphony)
  • Sue Baxendale (Scottish Opera)
  • Kristina Mascher-Turner (American Horn Quartet/International Horn Society)
  • Kerry Turner (American Horn Quartet/Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg)
  • Jeffrey Powers (Baylor University)

  • Craig Knox (Pittsburgh Symphony)
  • Chris Hall (Metropolitan Opera)
